Rabobank Mobile Banking Apps

Led the design, development, and launch of 2 versions of the Rabobank Mobile Banking App for iPhone, iPad, and Android. Led and executed all the UX design related tasks for both releases in addition to leading the overall project management and development with support from the Chief Marketing Officer.

UX Design activities performed included:

Initial release - Launched April 2013

  • Project Objective: Designed and launched Rabobank's first mobile banking app from scratch, with the goal of providing customers with a fully-functional mobile platform for all banking operations.

  • UI/UX Design: Created the initial user interface for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. This included designing all task flows and navigation from scratch, ensuring a seamless user experience across all platforms.

  • Development Collaboration: Worked closely with an offshore development company to build the app, ensuring that all design specifications and user experience goals were met.

  • Customer Communication Campaign: Developed and deployed a comprehensive customer communication strategy to promote the new mobile app. This included updates on the Rabobank website, targeted emails, and direct mailings to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Led the end-to-end design process for the initial version of the Rabobank mobile banking apps.

  • Created initial UI designs and navigational flows for multiple device platforms (iPhone, iPad, Android).

  • Collaborated with offshore development teams to ensure the successful implementation of design specifications.

  • Developed and executed comprehensive customer communication strategies to promote new app releases and updates.

    • Successfully launched Rabobank's first mobile banking app, providing customers with a robust mobile banking solution.

Version 2 - Launched June 2015

  • Redesign Objective: Redesigned the mobile app interfaces for iPhone, iPad, and Android to enhance task flows and update branding, aligning the mobile experience with Rabobank's newly released online banking platform.

  • UI/UX Enhancements: Improved the user interface and task flows based on user feedback and evolving design standards. Ensured that the mobile app design was consistent with the updated online banking platform.

  • Customer Communication Campaign: Developed and deployed a targeted communication campaign to inform customers about the upgraded mobile apps and the new online banking platform for desktops. This included website updates, email notifications, and direct mailings.
